About me
Lucie deLaBruere brings 40 years of K12 experience as a classroom teacher, technology integration specialist, and Career and Technical Education educator. She currently works with several school districts as a maker educator, STEAM & PBL coach and faculty for higher ed institutions.
She believes that creating more opportunities for students to experience learning through creating and making is a direct response to biases and inequities in our schools and contribute. She strives to create experiences that prioritize the interests of students whose interests historically have not been prioritized including school based residencies, external learning opportunities for students teacher professional development (i.e. Create Make Learn Summer Institute, University of Vermont, Middle Grades Institute, and Vermont State University) support for schools in the process of planning, designing, and implementing space for creating and making within their school and community.
