About me
I've been a science teacher since 2008 where I've taught at Bellows Falls Union High School in Vermont, Keene High School in NH, and now am currently teaching at Vermont Academy. I have an M.Ed in curriculum and as an educational technology integration specialist. I hold a second M.Ed. in school leadership and am currently licensed as a school principal.
My philosophy of education is rooted in inquiry-based education enhanced through the use of specific technology tools. Similarly, my leadership philosophy is to create a positive and inclusive culture by establishing community and utilizing restorative practices. Every community member is a valued asset with a unique set of characteristics that can be harnessed to promote positivity and learning.
Outside of education I can be found on the basketball court, where I coach the Girls prep team at VA, or on the ski mountain snowboarding with my family
When it's not basketball season or ski season I'm out fishing, gardening or hiking.
